On this page you will find general information about our Dutch Diving Helmet systems.
The information is a summary of frequent asked questions.
What is the Underwater Walk?
Many tourists or other interested people want to join new activities during
their holiday. Especially the coastal area draws a lot of tourists who want to
experience the underwater world. That’s why a new revolutionary way of diving is
developed: The underwater walk. During this activity participants simply put on
the helmet, walk over the seabed and enjoy the underwater world.
Diving experience is not necessary because the activity takes place under direct
supervision.
Why should I use this diving helmet?
Diving with the Dutch Diving Helmet is surprisingly easy and comfortable. You
don’t have to spend time to learn all about diving education. After a short
briefing from the instructor the diving helmet can be placed on the shoulders
and off you go. With the Dutch Diving Helmet almost everybody can join the
underwater walks. So whether you have diving experience or if it’s your first
time under water, everybody can join!
Tell me more about this PADI specialty
Since a few years, similar helmets are used world wide. Everybody uses these
helmets on their own way. As first company in the world, Dutch Diving Helmets
wrote a manual with the aim to regulate this wild growth. PADI, the world market
leader in diving education, is the first diving organisation that approved the
Dutch Diving Helmets manual. The official name is Padi’s Underwater Walk.
Because PADI is similar for safety and quality, participants can be sure it is
safe and easy. Special about PADI’s Underwater Walk is that there is no entry
level. So everybody can join, there is no diving experience necessary.
Expectations are that more diving educators will approve the Dutch Diving Helmet
in their learning system.
Do I need an insurance?
Every PADI instructor with teaching status has an insurance. And every approved
specailty is automatically insured. So if you’re a PADI instructor, the answer
is no. Always take care of the course outlines.
Is it lucrative to buy one or more helmets?
Sure! A return on investment example shows that if you use a multiple diving
set, incomes are quit high.
On Mauritius for example, a company is using 7 diving helmets and they charge 30
euro’s a dive. They have about 150! participants each day!
Also a one-helmet system can be profitable. You can use these for diving clubs,
swimming clubs and so on. Also teambuilding activities can be a lucrative
market. The message is: Think big, expand your market.
Can’t I better rent equipment?
It might be a surprise, but no, you shouldn’t. There are companies who rent out
equipment but first of all there is a huge entry payment, one never becomes the
owner and there’s an additional charge for every dive! Contact us for more
information.
Why a bronze diving helmet?
The answer is very simple; a metal helmet lasts longer than a plastic one and
maintenance is very simple. Additional benefit is that the Dutch Diving Helmet
will also keep its price because in time, the helmet will surely become a
collector’s item.
